Government

Government refers to the system or group of individuals governing an organized community, typically a state. It encompasses the institutions, processes, and policies through which authority is exercised, laws are created and enforced, and public order is maintained. Governments can take various forms, including democracies, monarchies, authoritarian regimes, and totalitarian states, each with distinct structures and functions. The core functions of a government typically include the maintenance of internal and external security, administration of justice, provision of public services, regulation of the economy, and representation of the interests of its citizens. Governments derive their authority from legal frameworks, constitutions, or social contracts, and are responsible for upholding the rule of law and protecting the rights of individuals.
