Baterie EV, or Electric Vehicle Battery, refers to the rechargeable battery specifically designed to power electric vehicles (EVs). These batteries store electrical energy that powers the electric motor, enabling the vehicle to operate without an internal combustion engine. Most commonly, EV batteries are lithium-ion batteries due to their high energy density, efficiency, and decreasing costs.
The performance of an EV battery is characterized by several factors, including its capacity (measured in kilowatt-hours, kWh), voltage, energy density, and cycle life (the number of charge-discharge cycles it can undergo before its capacity significantly diminishes). EV batteries also include battery management systems (BMS) that monitor and regulate the charging and discharging processes, ensuring safe operation and longevity.
It’s important to note that the design and technology of EV batteries are continually evolving to improve range, reduce charging times, and enhance overall vehicle performance, which is critical as the demand for electric vehicles grows in response to environmental concerns and advancements in automotive technology.
